Hello. I’m Dan. I live in a scruffy old house in lovely leafy Sussex with my long-suffering wife, our unruly daughters and an array of animals.

I spend a lot of my time being an IT lawyer, but I’m not planning on writing about my work here. Rather, since I don’t do the Twitters or the Facebooks any more, this blog is somewhere to put whatever non-work-related stuff I’m interested in and want to share; my daft little dog, gaming, retro computing, politics, music, or just stuff I find that’s fun or odd or cool.

I’m on Keybase and Mastodon. You can also sometimes find me lurking around the various UK retrogaming Discord channels, if you’re so inclined.

The header image is by Lorenzo Herrera on Unsplash, and I’m using it under the Unsplash Licence. YouTube videos and other linked stuff belong to their respective rights holders. Otherwise, everything on this blog is mine, unless I’m quoting.

Anything I say here is said in a personal capacity. In particular, I’m not in any way speaking for my firm. If I happen to write about the law, I’m doing so purely for my own amusement.

I say “fuck” a lot. Spare me the homilies. I have an enormous vocabulary in multiple languages, and I can assure you that “fuck” is one of the best words there is.
